ifPeople is a for-profit social enterprise that partners with today's leaders to create meaningful online relationships and grow collaborative communities. We focus on the needs of mission-driven organizations and have broad experience in working with for-profit and non-profit organizations, both domestically and internationally. In supporting these clients, ifPeople provides custom software leveraging Open Source technologies for web applications and sites created in our distributed FairSource development team.

ifPeople, a woman-owned company, was founded in 2002 by Tirza Hollenhorst and Christopher Johnson while in Argentina. Our clients come from diverse industries and are innovating in the areas of health sciences, economic development, microfinance, and Corporate Social Responsibility.

In 2004, operations were relocated from Argentina to the US, when ifPeople created the partnership model for FairSource, which is the basis for relationships with key suppliers in Argentina and Chile.  FairSource is a fair trade initiative to support microenterprises in overcoming barriers to entrepreneurship in emerging economies through longterm, collaborative trade relationships. ifPeople created the model to foster responsible entrepreneurship in South America and has enabled significant growth in the current partners while continuing to expand the initiative. FairSource partners integrate into ifPeople's team during a project and work alongside our clients to bring a project's vision to fruition.
